Job summary
Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking passionate, dedicated Community Nurses to join our teams across Exeter. You will work within the Community Nursing service, providing holistic home-based care to housebound patients, with opportunities to develop through modular, clinical and leadership studies.
The role supports a 7-day service with core daytime hours and occasional weekends.
Qualifications
- Must be a registered nurse with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council).
- Must have driving licence and access to a car.
Responsibilities
- Assess, provide and review nursing care, advice and information to patients and carers within the home environment or appropriate care setting.
- Maintain patients in their own home when possible to maximise independence and quality of life.
- Work under the direction of the Specialist Nurse (Community) and the Nurse Team Manager (Community).
- Oversee a designated caseload and delegate in the absence of the Specialist Nurse.
- Continue professional development through training and education.
- Support Unregistered staff and Student Nurses in development.
