Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Bideford is seeking a Band 5 Community Nurse to join our experienced Community Nursing team on a fixed-term basis until 25 April 2027. You will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients in their own homes, clinics and community settings.

You will assess needs, plan and deliver nursing interventions, and provide information and support to patients, families and carers.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with professional judgement.
• Confident to work autonomously and lone-working.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in their homes, clinics and community settings.
• Assess needs, plan and deliver nursing interventions, and provide advice to patients and carers.
• Support patients to remain in their preferred place of care, promoting independence.
• Supervise and support peers, students and other team members as needed.
