Job summary

Central Beds OPCMHT is seeking a Community Mental Health Nurse to work autonomously within the Older Peoples CMHT, managing a defined caseload of service users with complex mental health needs. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, plan care, manage risk, and deliver evidence-based interventions with a focus on recovery and independence.

You will also administer and monitor medications, including depot/IM injections, provide clinical leadership, and contribute to audits and service

Qualifications

• Autonomous practitioner able to work within CMHT
• Competent in comprehensive mental health assessments
• Experience with care planning and risk assessments

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a defined caseload for older adults with complex needs.
• Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, and reviews.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and monitor treatment outcomes.
• Administer and monitor medications, including depot/IM injections.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to colleagues and students.
• Participate in audits, service evaluation and quality improvement.
• Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and multidisciplinary working.
