Job summary

Inizio Engage is seeking a dedicated Community IV Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered IV therapies in patients' homes and community settings across Coventry and surrounding areas. You will support patients from initiation to completion of treatment, with emphasis on safe care and education for patients, families, and carers.

The role requires a registered nurse with an active UK/Irish license, at least one year post-registration, and strong clinical, communication, and organisational

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC or NMBI registration.
• Minimum of 1 year post-registration nursing experience.
• Full UK or Irish driving licence.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a community environment and manage an individual caseload.
• Ability to recognise clinical deterioration and escalation concerns.
• Confident using digital systems for clinical documentation and communication.
• Enhanced DBS (or equivalent) and satisfactory medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe IV therapies in patients' homes and community settings according to procedures and treatment plans.
• Undertake patient assessments and provide ongoing monitoring throughout treatment.
• Administer prescribed IV medications and therapies safely.
• Provide education and ongoing support to patients, families and carers.
• Support patients to develop confidence, independence and adherence to treatment.
• Undertake home/community visits for therapy initiation, administration, assessment and follow-up.
• Manage vascular access devices per policies and infection control standards.
• Recognise changes in patient condition and escalate as needed.
• Document adverse events and clinical concerns accurately.
• Maintain clinical equipment and safe storage of medicines.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using digital systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacists and consultants.
• Plan and prioritise an allocated caseload and visits.
• Adhere to safeguarding and governance requirements; contribute to audits and service improvement.
• Maintain professional registration and CPD responsibilities.
