Job summary

Inizio Engage is seeking a Bank Community IV Nurse to provide patient-centred IV therapy in home and community settings. The role offers flexible hours, approximately 20-30 hours per week, with autonomy and varied case work to maintain clinical skills.

The post requires NMC/NMBI registration, a driving licence, and the ability to work independently. You’ll collaborate with pharmacists, consultants, and other professionals to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC or NMBI registration.
• Minimum of 1 year post-registration nursing experience.
• Full UK or Irish driving licence.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work confidently and independently in patients' homes.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to recognise clinical deterioration and raise concerns.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe IV therapies in patients' homes and community settings following clinical guidelines.
• Administer prescribed intravenous medications and therapies safely.
• Undertake patient assessments and monitoring during treatment.
• Conduct home visits for therapy initiation, administration and follow-up.
• Provide education and ongoing support to patients, families and carers.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Adhere to safeguarding, infection prevention and medicines management requirements.
