Job summary

Leaders in Care is seeking a Chemotherapy Nurse Specialist to deliver specialist cancer care within the community across the East Midlands. You will combine home visits, clinic treatment and virtual assessments to manage your own caseload and support patients throughout their oncology journey.

The role offers autonomy with diverse settings, enabling high-quality patient care in a community/homecare environment. A full UK driving licence and current NMC registration are essential.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration is required.
• Strong oncology, chemotherapy or SACT nursing experience.
• Current SACT Passport via Compassly, with at least 6 months remaining.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel across the East Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SACT and oncology treatments in patients' homes and clinics.
• Complete clinical assessments and virtual patient reviews.
• Administer IV medication and prescribed cancer treatments.
• Manage your own oncology caseload.
• Monitor patients before, during and after treatment.
• Respond to treatment-related side effects and deterioration.
• Provide education and ongoing support to patients and families.
• Develop and review individualised care plans.
• Collaborate with consultants, GPs and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and governance.
