Job summary

Leaders In Care Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Community Chemotherapy Nurse to cover North Somerset & Bristol, delivering high-quality chemotherapy in patients' homes and managing a personal caseload with autonomy and clinical support.

You will lead in delivering SACT and oncology treatments, perform holistic assessments, and collaborate with hospitals to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients in a home setting.

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration (Adult Nurse/RGN).
• Experience delivering chemotherapy or SACT treatments.
• Competency in the administration of cytotoxic drugs.

Responsibilities

• Delivering systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) and chemotherapy treatments within patients' homes
• Administering oncology and haematology treatments safely and in line with national guidelines
• Completing holistic clinical assessments before every treatment
• Cannulation, venepuncture and vascular access management
• Monitoring patients throughout treatment and responding appropriately to any adverse reactions
• Maintaining accurate electronic patient records and documentation
• Providing education, reassurance and ongoing support to patients and their families
• Working collaboratively with hospitals, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care
