Theodore Harrison is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor in the Preston area to join a growing team.You will cover surveying, contract administration, and building pathology across commercial, education, and residential clients, with a track record of developing people to Senior and Associate level.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional building surveying experience in consultancy.
• Excellent report-writing and client-facing communication skills.
• Strong technical knowledge across building pathology, contract administration and project delivery.
• Ambition to progress toward Senior/Associate level within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking building surveys, condition reports and defect diagnosis across a varied portfolio.
• Managing contract administration on refurbishment, repair and maintenance projects from tender to completion.
• Preparing specifications, schedules of work and cost estimates.
• Advising clients on building condition, planned maintenance and lifecycle strategy.
• Liaising with contractors, consultants and professionals to keep projects on track.
• Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors as they develop.
• Contributing to business development and client relationships as caseload grows.
