Job summary

Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Children’s Community Nurse to join the Children’s Community Nursing Team. The post is permanent with part-time opportunity (.74 WTE) and involves providing care to children and young people across Redbridge in the community.

The successful candidate will work autonomously in the home setting, delivering family-centred care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with children’s community experience.
• Ability to work autonomously in family-centred home settings.
• Full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to children in community settings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for caseload.
• Provide specialist interventions including IV therapy, enteral feeding, and tracheostomy care as needed.
• Identify clinical deterioration and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records in line with Trust policy.
