Job summary

North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Nurse to join the Community Children's Nursing team in Grays. This permanent role covers Basildon, Brentwood and Thurrock with daytime shifts, occasional weekends, and a starting date in January 2027.

You will deliver care to children and young people in community settings, work with families and multidisciplinary teams, and support education and health promotion across the district.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN) with active registration.
• Minimum of two years’ post‑qualification experience.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the geographical area.
• Central line training or willingness to undertake this training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day nursing care to children and young people in community settings.
• Liaise with acute services and other stakeholders to support service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records in line with Trust policies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvements.
