Job summary

The Arrhythmia Nurses at Wrexham Maelor Hospital provide a high quality, comprehensive and innovative nurse led service to patients experiencing acute and chronic arrhythmic conditions. The team works closely with the Cardiology multi-disciplinary team and Primary Care to deliver rapid access arrhythmia clinics and follow-up care, including a nurse-led cardioversion service.

You should have Cardiology or acute care experience and be able to work flexibly to respond to unplanned care.

Qualifications

• NMC/AHP registered
• Post reg cardiac qualification
• Advanced ECG interpretation skills
• 1st degree in relevant clinical/professional subject

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced and specialist practice undertaking holistic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients referred with, or suspected of having cardiac rhythm disorders
• Ensure delivery of ongoing care through diagnosis, development and implementation of clinical management plans and referrals
• Function as an autonomous practitioner with own caseload to manage changing healthcare needs
• Coordinate for the trust wide complex device service and nurse-led Cardioversion service and support families at risk of Sudden Cardiac Death
