Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Arrhythmia Nurse at Wrexham Maelor Hospital to provide a nurse-led service for patients with acute and chronic cardiac rhythm disorders. The role involves autonomous practice within the cardiology team, delivering advanced assessment, planning and management, and helping to coordinate nurse-led services such as cardioversion.

The post requires NMC/AHP registration and a post-reg cardiac qualification, with opportunities for development within the NHS Band structure.

Qualifications

NMC/AHP registered.
Post reg cardiac qualification.
Advanced ECG interpretation skills.
1st degree in relevant clinical/professional subject.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced and specialist practice with holistic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
Determine diagnosis and develop clinical management plans; refer to other health professionals as needed.
Function as autonomous practitioner with own caseload within the team.
Coordinate services and provide specialist advice, support, education and training; include nurse-led cardioversion service.
