Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver autonomous, nurse-led primary care sessions across Ross-on-Wye and surrounding clinics. You will perform advanced assessments, triage, and same-day care within GP and community services, maintaining consistent working patterns and high safety standards.

The role offers fully flexible sessional work, with weekday, evening or weekend availability and ad-hoc or ongoing bookings.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in new environments.

Responsibilities

• Run autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care.
• Manage acute and minor illness presentations.
• Conduct telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribe safely within competence.
• Review results and follow up.
• Record accurate notes in digital systems.
