Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to lead autonomous ANP-led clinics across regional primary care settings in Shepton Mallet. You will deliver advanced assessments, triage, and same-day care within established GP and community networks.

This role offers fully flexible sessional bookings with weekday, evening or weekend availability, enabling you to manage your workload while maintaining clinical autonomy in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification
• Independent Prescribing (V300)
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills
• Confidence working autonomously in new environments
• Enhanced DBS clearance

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions
• Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic’s digital systems
