Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Ashton Under Lyne on a locum basis. The role offers structured clinical sessions with autonomy in primary care, supporting GPs, nurses and other clinical staff.

You will manage urgent and routine ACP appointments and contribute to patient outcomes in a well-supported setting. The post involves independent prescribing where qualified, thorough note-keeping, and flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions to suit

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records
