Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Radstock. You will work with GPs, nurses and staff to deliver comprehensive assessments and safe clinical decisions, across urgent care and routine appointments.

The role supports flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions, with morning and afternoon clinics and long- or short-term placements, in a primary care setting with steady patient demand.

Qualifications

• Level 7 ACP training completed.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) desirable.
• Experience in primary or urgent care settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
