Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work in a GP practice in Darwen. The post is ideal for an experienced ACP from a nursing, paramedic, or allied health background who can deliver autonomous clinical assessments and safe decision-making within a structured primary care environment.

You will run your own clinics, support urgent and routine patient demand, and benefit from clear pathways, strong admin support and smooth workflow for effective session delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• Background in Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.
