Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Berkhamsted. The role offers autonomous clinics and a structured primary care workflow, with strong admin support to ensure efficient session delivery.

You will run your own clinics, support urgent and routine patient demand, and benefit from clear pathways and a smooth workflow to ensure effective session delivery. Flexible sessions up to 4 days per week with morning/afternoon options are available.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• Background may be Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.
