Job summary

Locum Ready in Rainham is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join a GP practice, offering structured, well-supported clinical sessions for an autonomous ACP in a primary care setting with clear workflows and steady patient demand.

Working alongside GPs, Nurses and wider clinical staff, you will provide comprehensive assessments, deliver safe clinical decisions, prescribe independently where qualified, and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACPs must have Level 7 Advanced Clinical Practitioner training.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
