Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Folkestone. This role suits an experienced ACP from nursing, paramedic, or allied health backgrounds who can deliver autonomous clinical assessments, safe decision-making and efficient patient management within a structured primary care environment.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Autonomous/independent clinician with strong decision-making skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified)
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system

Education

Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate)

Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent)
