Job summary

People Solutions in Bury is seeking a proactive Workshop Manager to lead a busy automotive workshop. You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff and coordinate workloads to ensure efficient, high-quality repairs.

The role offers £40,600 per year with a potential £6,000 performance bonus, and a permanent full-time contract. This is a hands-on leadership role in a well-established automotive business, with Monday–Friday hours.

• Experience in automotive workshop environment.
• Experience supervising or managing workshop team.
• Strong organisational and people-management skills.
• Ability to manage workloads and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of a busy automotive workshop.
• Supporting and managing workshop employees.
• Coordinating workloads to ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Monitoring productivity and workshop performance.
• Ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer service.
• Supporting the team to achieve operational and business targets.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed throughout the workshop.
• Identifying and resolving operational issues.
