Job summary

Halfords Northallerton is seeking an Assistant Manager to work alongside the Centre Manager, combining workshop duties with customer-focused sales leadership.

You will mentor colleagues, oversee workshop operations, and apply your mechanical knowledge to support diagnostics and vehicle maintenance while ensuring top customer service standards. A proactive, organised approach and a full driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management and leadership.
• Coaching, training and developing colleagues in the moment.
• Strong technical/mechanical knowledge with a Level 2/3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service.
• Lead workshop activities and supervise technicians.
• Drive profitability while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
