Job summary

National Tyres and Autocare in Tyne and Wear is seeking an Assistant Manager who will work with the Centre Manager to deliver strong customer service and healthy profitability. You’ll divide time between the workshop and assisting sales and service delivery, guiding the team and ensuring smooth operations.

You should bring hands-on mechanical experience or management background in a similar environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and driving business performance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management.
• Experience coaching and developing colleagues in the moment.
• Strong technical knowledge in light vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
• Solid understanding of workshop operations and vehicle maintenance processes.
• Full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service activities.
• Divide time between the workshop and front-of-house to drive profitability.
• Lead, coach and develop workshop staff to maintain service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and workshop processes.
