Job summary

Apex Recruitment is seeking an experienced Automotive Trimmer / Fitter to join a Daventry-based restoration team. You will craft and install high-end interiors, including leather, Alcantara and carbon fibre components, ensuring flawless finishes on luxury and performance vehicles.

In this role you will collaborate with engineers and technicians, perform bench modifications, and align exterior trim as required. A true craftsman with an eye for detail will thrive in this state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Experience as Trim Technician or Vehicle Trimmer.
• Experience with luxury automotive, restoration or coachbuilding environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Interior trim installation, assembly, and fitment to exacting quality standards.
• Removing, modifying, and refitting interior components for bespoke builds.
• Trimming and fitting premium interiors such as leather, Alcantara, fabrics and carbon fibre components.
• Carrying out bench modifications, repairs, and rework for flawless finishes.
• Stripping, rebuilding, and aligning exterior trim and body panels as required.
• Basic sewing and hand-stitching to support high-quality interiors.
• Inspecting completed work to meet luxury manufacturer standards.
• Collaborating with engineers and technicians to resolve build challenges.

Pay: £44,000 per annum

The Role:

As an Automotive Trimmer / Fitter, your responsibilities will include:

• Interior trim installation, assembly, and fitment to exacting quality standards.

• Working closely with engineers and fellow technicians to resolve build challenges and support continuous improvement.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a skilled Technician who is passionate about producing exceptional vehicle interiors.

• Previous experience as a Trim Technician or Vehicle Trimmer.
• Experience working within luxury automotive, restoration, coachbuilding, classic vehicles, or motorsport environments.
• Strong knowledge of fitting and working with leather, textiles, Alcantara and composite materials (carbon fibre experience advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
• A flexible approach and willingness to work overtime when required.

Working Hours

• Monday-Thursday: 07:00-16:30
• Friday: 07:00-12:45
• Overtime available during weekdays and Saturdays.
