Job summary

Ashby Finance is seeking a Test Engineer to support integration, testing and validation of vehicle systems across Telematics, Connectivity, Infotainment and Diagnostics. This hands-on role involves working with vehicles, test rigs and software to maintain test properties and ensure quality targets.

You will automate testing with Python, Robot Framework and Anna Framework, analyse logs, and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing vehicles in automotive environments (dealership/OEM).
• Familiarity with vehicle software and test benches.
• Experience with vehicle components on a test bench.
• Knowledge of vehicle lifecycle and software processes.
• Practical technician skills to work on vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Support construction, maintenance and management of test rigs and vehicles across Telematics, Connectivity, Infotainment and Diagnostics.
• Capture and specify system integration and test requirements.
• Support test planning and validation to meet quality targets.
• Plan and manage project-related activities weekly.
• Report project status and collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Investigate complex system test and integration challenges using company tools.
• Analyse vehicle logs and manage integration issues to identify root causes and deliver solutions.
• Conduct requirements analysis and develop test approaches.
• Automate testing using Python, Robot Framework and Anna Framework.
• Maintain and document test environment configurations.
• Work with teams to achieve shared objectives.
