Ambulance Transfers Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to diagnose, repair, and service a fleet to ensure safety and reliability. You will work with advanced tools in a dynamic environment, with duties spanning engine work, brake changes, suspension and electrical diagnostics.

The role requires home-base travel to Thurrock HQ and occasionalLondon-area duties. The position includes 35k–45k GBP per year, DBS screening, and benefits such as a canteen, company car and pension.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 2 or equivalent
• Full manual UK driving licence
• Must have own hand tools
• LGV experience desired but not essential

Responsabilités

• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical issues and diagnose faults accurately.
• Carry out engine repairs, brake replacements, suspension work and electrical diagnostics.
• Use hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during repair procedures.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks and travel to HQ and around London as workload requires.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used and time taken.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and compliant with safety standards.

Job Description:

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for vehicle repair and maintenance. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and diagnose faults accurately.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine repairs, brake replacements, suspension work, and electrical diagnostics.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment to handle large or heavy vehicle parts safely.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and time taken for each service.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards to promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum IMI Level 2 or equivalent
• Must hold a full manual UK driving license
• Must have use of your own hand tools
• Previous experience of LGV desirable but not essential.

Please also note a DBS will be carried out as we are a CQC regulated company

The role will start from your home location as you will have 24/7 access to the Fleet Support Vehicle, will involve travel to the Thurrock HQ and will also involve travel in and around London depending on workload.

We currently have a fleet of + 110 Vehicles.
