Job summary

Armstrong's Christchurch is seeking a qualified Automotive Technician to join the team, working primarily across Peugeot and Leapmotor with potential exposure to Mercedes-Benz. The role offers ongoing training, career development, and a supportive environment.

A full-time, on-site position with standard hours and occasional Saturdays awaits a motivated technician. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and deliver high-quality service while maintaining a tidy, safe workshop.

Qualifications

• A relevant automotive trade qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant automotive experience – essential.
• Previous European vehicle experience is highly regarded.
• Strong diagnostic capabilities and broad repair skills.
• A positive attitude and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver licence.
• Currently based in New Zealand and available to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on customer and dealership vehicles.
• Complete all work efficiently, accurately, and to a consistently high standard.
• Diagnose faults and undertake a broad range of mechanical repairs.
• Deliver a high level of customer service.
• Use workshop equipment and tools correctly and with care.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised workshop areas and equipment.

What we’re looking for:

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, generally worked between 8:00am and 5:00pm, with occasional rostered Saturdays.
