Job summary

Apex Resource Management Ltd is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker for a specialist automotive manufacturing and engineering business in Northamptonshire. The role focuses on repair, fabrication and restoration of vehicle bodywork using thin-gauge steel (1-2mm).

You will work day shift with overtime, require MIG welding experience, and bring strong hands-on metalworking skills, attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience with thin-gauge sheet metal (1–2 mm).
• Strong cutting, shaping, forming and fabrication skills.
• Experience using traditional panel-working techniques.
• Excellent eye for detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• MIG welding experience would be essential.

Responsibilities

• Repair, fabrication and restoration of vehicle bodywork and metal components.
• Cutting, shaping and forming thin-gauge sheet metal.
• Fabricate replacement panels and metal sections.
• Ensure panel fit, alignment and finish.
• Use hand tools and metal-forming equipment.
• Work from patterns and specifications.
• Maintain extremely high standards of workmanship.
