Job summary

TECNIQ in Witham, Essex, is seeking a skilled Welder/Sheet Metal Engineer to join our fabrication team. You will weld, cut, shape and fabricate metal parts for high-value automotive projects, reading detailed drawings and using MIG/TIG processes on aluminium and mild steel.

A strong attention to detail, good literacy and teamwork are essential for delivering ultra-premium quality components. The role offers a Monday–Friday day shift, hourly rate up to £17 depending on experience, and on-site

Qualifications

• Experience welding sheet metal to high-precision tolerances.
• Proficient reading of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Ability to weld using MIG and TIG on aluminium and mild steel.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Welding, cutting, shaping and fabricating metal parts and products to high quality standards.
• Work with mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
• Read engineering drawings and interpret requirements and tolerances.
• Sand/ grind components to achieve dimensions and finish.
• Use a variety of hand, power and workshop tools.
• Inspect and test finished work.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements.
