Job summary

Clarify Consultancy Ltd's client, a busy motor retail group, seeks an experienced Service Advisor to join their aftersales team in Burnley. You will be the key link between customers and the workshop, managing bookings and providing clear cost explanations.

You will liaise with technicians, prepare invoices, and look for upselling opportunities while upholding high standards of service and compliance with company processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor in motor retail or similar customer-facing automotive role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Confidently explain technical information in a customer-friendly way; proactive and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using DMS systems (e.g., Kerridge/Autoline) would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and managing service enquiries
• Booking vehicles in for service, repair and MOT
• Providing clear explanations of work required and associated costs
• Liaising with technicians to monitor progress and update customers
• Preparing invoices and processing payments
• Upselling additional products and services where appropriate
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company processes
• Delivering a consistently high level of customer satisfaction
