Job summary

Nexperia in Manchester seeks a Device Engineer to develop and optimise advanced semiconductor device technologies from concept to silicon evaluation. You will work with TCAD, electrical testing and reliability data to improve performance, robustness and manufacturability, collaborating with TCAD, process, product engineering and reliability teams.

The role is site-based in Manchester with limited travel for project and collaboration activities, and no visa sponsorship is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and fabrication principles.
• Experience with TCAD simulation tools gained through university research or industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform TCAD simulations to evaluate device concepts and designs.
• Investigate electrical performance and physical device behavior.
• Support technology development from concept through silicon evaluation.
• Analyze electrical characterization and reliability data.
• Correlate modelling results with silicon measurements and reports.
• Assist experimental planning and root cause analysis.
