Job summary

Adam Curtis Specialist Automotive Recruitment Consultancy Ltd is seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join a busy Aftersales team in a UK dealership. You will process parts orders, advise on availability and alternatives, and ensure accurate stock control while supporting workshop and retail customers.

Working Mon-Fri (8:00am–6:00pm) with no weekend work, you will deliver excellent customer service, develop relationships, and promote parts sales. A £32,000–£34,000 basic salary DOE is on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Parts Advisor within the automotive industry is essential.
• Excellent knowledge of automotive parts and stock control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• IT literate and confident using dealership computer systems.
• Self-motivated with a proactive and positive approach.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Process parts orders from start to finish, accurately identifying and supplying the correct parts.
• Advise customers and colleagues on parts availability, pricing and suitable alternatives where required.
• Pick, pack and dispatch parts efficiently while keeping customers and technicians updated.
• Maintain accurate stock control and ensure all parts movements are recorded correctly.
• Support workshop technicians by supplying parts in a timely manner.
• Promote additional products and identify opportunities to maximise parts sales.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure the parts department remains organised and efficient.
• Work closely with the wider Aftersales team to achieve departmental objectives.
