Job summary

Tata Technologies Limited in Bicester is seeking a Project Engineer - Switches & Controls to design, develop and validate interior switch components for automotive applications, working with OEM and Tier 1 suppliers.

The role covers DVP, DFMEA, cross-functional collaboration across design, electrical, software and quality, with responsibility from concept to production and ongoing cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or related field).
• Experience in automotive switch system design for interior components.
• Experience with OEM or Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
• Knowledge of DVP and DFMEA methodologies.
• Hands-on design, testing and validation experience.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and validation of interior switch systems for automotive applications.
• Collaborate with design, electrical, software and quality teams to develop switch technologies.
• Manage design and development of switches from concept to production.
• Prepare and execute DVP and support testing phases.
• Conduct DFMEA to mitigate risks.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Contribute to product design reviews and regulatory compliance.
• Track project progress and milestones.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives.
