Job summary

Tata Technologies seeks a Senior Project Engineer for Automotive Switches based at our customer’s site in Bicester. You will lead the design, development, and validation of interior switch systems for automotive applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and innovative switch solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or related field).
Experience in automotive switch system design, focusing on interior switch components.
Proven experience with OEM or Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
Strong knowledge of DVP and DFMEA methodologies.
Hands-on switch design, testing, and validation processes.
Familiarity with CAD tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of automotive electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing technical projects from concept to production.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve design challenges.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and validation of interior switch systems for automotive applications.
Collaborate with design, electrical, software, and quality teams to develop innovative switch technologies.
Manage the design and integration of switches into vehicle platforms from concept to production.
Prepare and execute DVP and support testing phases to meet performance criteria.
Conduct DFMEA to identify and mitigate design risks.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
