Job summary

Thames Motor Group is seeking an experienced Motor Trade Accountant to take responsibility for day-to-day financial management and reporting across the dealership group. You will provide accurate information to support commercial decision-making and work closely with senior management, sales and aftersales teams to drive profitability.

The role requires motor trade accounting experience, strong Excel skills and a proactive, collaborative approach within a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in motor trade accounting and dealership finance processes.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Commercially minded with a hands‑on approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage dealership accounts and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and budgets.
• Monitor cash flow, forecasts and KPI reporting.
• Oversee purchase and sales ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support year-end accounts and audit requirements.
• Provide financial insight to senior management.
