Vertu Toyota Rotherham is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to support the Accountant and management team, producing financial reports, analysis and management information to drive performance. The role offers a £28,000 basic salary, full-time permanent contract and exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities in a leading automotive retail group.

• Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Motor trade experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across the business.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the production of Management Accounts.
• Preparing forecasts and estimates.
• Processing payroll.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing accruals and prepayments.
