Job summary

UTAC group is seeking an Apprentice Technician to work at the Millbrook site in Bedfordshire. This position involves learning about automotive technology and testing all types of vehicles, with training provided alongside skilled technicians and engineers.

The successful candidate will engage in vehicle repairs and diagnostics, while gaining relevant qualifications. The role offers potential for promotion to Technician after training and development, making it an excellent opportunity for those interested in the automotive industry.

Qualifications

• No experience required but an interest in vehicles and engineering is essential.
• Good general level of education.
• Competent IT skills (mainly MS Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Light vehicle repairs and general servicing
• LGV, Bus/Coach repairs and general servicing
• Vehicle fault finding
• Diagnostic checks using various diagnostic equipment
• Conduct Durability test preparation and vehicle measurements
• Complete work tickets with detailed written report on work actioned
• Ensure all Health, safety and quality procedures are adhered to
• Act in accordance with the behaviours for Millbrook staff at all times
