Job summary

UTAC group is seeking an Apprentice Technician at our Millbrook site in Bedfordshire. This role involves a 40-hour week, learning about automotive technology and vehicle testing in a dynamic R&D environment.

The position offers training alongside skilled technicians, and opportunities for promotion to Technician and other engineering roles following further development.

Successful candidates will enjoy benefits including a contributory pension scheme and various recognition awards.

Qualifications

• No experience required but a strong interest in vehicles and engineering is essential.
• Able to follow written instructions and have good teamwork.
• A full driving license and willingness to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check are needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform light vehicle repairs and general servicing.
• Conduct durability test preparation and vehicle measurements.
• Ensure all health, safety, and quality procedures are adhered to.

Skills

Good general level of education

Competent IT skills (mainly MS Word and Excel)

Education

Maths, English and Science minimum C grade GCSE
