Job summary

Accenture is seeking an Automation Tester to join our Newcastle team. You will automate functional testing for SaaS software, write Java scripts, and work with tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, and Rest-assured.

You will collaborate with users to refine requirements and ensure high-quality software delivery. The role requires hybrid working from our Newcastle office three days per week, with flexibility for client engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience automating functional testing of SaaS software, writing scripts in Java.
• Experience using test tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Rest-assured or Wiremock.
• Experience working with users to design and conduct manual testing and understand requirements.
• Proven track record of testing software developments in a structured environment.
• Knowledge of defect management tools e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla or HP ALM.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to plan and execute automated test strategies for SaaS solutions.
• Design and develop automated test scripts using Java and common frameworks.
• Work with clients and users to validate requirements and test results.
• Ensure defect lifecycle is tracked and resolved efficiently.

Qualification

• Experience automating functional testing of SaaS software, writing scripts in Java
• Experience in using other test tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Rest-assured or Wiremock
• Experience working with users to design and conduct manual testing, developing a good understanding of the requirements, user needs and solution design in order to differentiate between defects and enhancements
• A proven track record of testing software developments in a structured environment.
• A complete understanding of the Defect Management lifecycle and knowledge of one or more defect management tools e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla or HP ALM.
