Job summary

Accenture's Advanced Technology Centre in Newcastle seeks an experienced QA automation tester to join a vibrant team delivering high-quality SaaS solutions. You will automate functional testing using Java and tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Rest-assured or Wiremock, while collaborating with clients to design robust test strategies.

You will work in a hybrid model, spending time onsite at the Newcastle office and with a global network of experts to grow your skills and deliver value across

Qualifications

• Experience automating functional testing of SaaS software with Java.
• Experience using test tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Rest-assured or Wiremock.
• Experience working with users to design and conduct manual testing, understanding requirements and differentiating defects from enhancements.
• Proven track record of testing software in a structured environment.
• Understanding of defect management lifecycle and tools like JIRA, Bugzilla or HP ALM.

Salary: Competitive + package (dependent on experience)

Hybrid Working: Please note – This role will require you to work from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.

Job Qualifications

The following skills and experience are essential for this role:

• Experience automating functional testing of SaaS software, writing scripts in Java
• Experience in using other test tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Rest-assured or Wiremock
• Experience working with users to design and conduct manual testing, developing a good understanding of the requirements, user needs and solution design in order to differentiate between defects and enhancements
• A proven track record of testing software developments in a structured environment.
• A complete understanding of the Defect Management lifecycle and knowledge of one or more defect management tools e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla or HP ALM.
