Job summary

Accenture is seeking an Automation Tester in Newcastle upon Tyne to join our Advanced Technology Centre. The role focuses on automating functional testing of SaaS software, using Java and popular test tools, with hybrid work from our Newcastle office.

You will work with clients across industries, learn new systems, and contribute to delivering high-quality software. The position requires collaboration, mobility, and adherence to security and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience automating functional testing of SaaS software.
• Experience writing scripts in Java.
• Experience using test tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Rest-assured or Wiremock.
• Experience working with users to design and conduct manual testing, understanding requirements and differentiating defects from enhancements.
• Proven track record of testing software developments in a structured environment.

Job Title: Automation Tester

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary: Competitive + package (dependent on experience)

Hybrid Working: Please note - This role will require you to work from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week

Job Qualifications

• Experience automating functional testing of SaaS software, writing scripts in Java
• Experience in using other test tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Rest-assured or Wiremock
• Experience working with users to design and conduct manual testing, developing a good understanding of the requirements, user needs and solution design in order to differentiate between defects and enhancements
• A proven track record of testing software developments in a structured environment
• A complete understanding of the Defect Management lifecycle and knowledge of one or more defect management tools e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla or HP ALM

• Experience working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban or SAFe) environment/teams
