Accenture is seeking an Automation Tester in Newcastle upon Tyne to join our Advanced Technology Centre. You will automate functional testing for SaaS software using Java and tools like Selenium, Cucumber and Rest-assured, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid working setup.

Job Title: Automation Tester

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary: Competitive + package (dependent on experience)

Hybrid Working: Please note - This role will require you to work from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.

Job Qualifications

The following skills and experience are essential for this role:

• Experience automating functional testing of SaaS software, writing scripts in Java
• Experience in using other test tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Rest-assured or Wiremock
• Experience working with users to design and conduct manual testing, developing a good understanding of the requirements, user needs and solution design in order to differentiate between defects and enhancements
• A proven track record of testing software developments in a structured environment.
• A complete understanding of the Defect Management lifecycle and knowledge of one or more defect management tools e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla or HP ALM.

• Proven history of working within a complex and diverse delivery environment
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban or SAFe) environment/teams
