Your role and responsibilities

As an Automation Tester at IBM, your technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create, and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure we’re delivering the best of the best. Come work in an agile environment where you will help each iteration reach the next level. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike. In your role you may be responsible for:

• Building automated tests using Cypress.
• Creating test data and test environments.
• Writing and executing test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution.
• Identifying, understanding, and documenting all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications.
• Doing a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly.

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise:

• Knowledge of test automation and associated test tooling e.g., Cucumber, Jenkins & Puppeteer.
• Knowledge of the project lifecycle in software delivery.
• Understanding of testing process, techniques, and their application.
• An aptitude for understanding the more technical elements of a system and the environments, how the systems interface and connect.
