Job summary

Müller Market Drayton is seeking an Engineering Technician to support a highly automated dairy production site in Market Drayton, Shropshire, on a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift. The role involves maintaining PLC-driven lines, robotic packaging systems and high-speed process equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and performance.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery, and work closely with operations to optimise

Qualifications

• A time-served Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Experience working with automation, robotics or process equipment (desirable).
• A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• A team player committed to high safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability.
• Responding to breakdowns efficiently, minimising downtime in a fast-paced production environment.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering upgrades.
• Collaborating with operations to drive safety, quality and performance.
• Supporting the installation, commissioning and integration of new equipment.
