Job summary

Staffline in Market Drayton is hiring Engineering Technicians for a highly automated dairy site. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance, support upgrades, and work with PLCs and process equipment in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. This full-time role operates 4 on/4 off, 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am shifts, with a £57,289 salary plus 5% bonus and a £5,000 sign-on bonus after probation. On-site parking and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong knowledge of reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Experience with automation, robotics or process equipment (desirable).
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Team player with high safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability.
• Respond to breakdowns efficiently, minimising downtime in a fast-paced production environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering upgrades.
• Collaborate with operations to drive safety, quality and performance.
• Support installation, commissioning and integration of new equipment.
