Job summary

Actemium Automation, part of the VINCI Energies group, is seeking an Automation Support professional to maintain and enhance PLC, HMI and SCADA systems across the UK. You will perform fault finding, system modifications and health checks while supporting customers remotely or on-site.

The role requires hands-on PLC experience, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across multiple brands. A competitive salary, car allowance and pension scheme are part of the package.

Responsibilities

• Deliver essential automation support to maintain system integrity during breakdowns and installation.

• Collaborate with clients to define and implement system changes for seamless operations.
• Regularly perform health checks on PLC, HMI, SCADA and network systems.
• Provide both remote and on-site customer support across the UK.
• Participate in an on-call rota to support out-of-hours needs.

• Automation Support: Deliver essential support to maintain system integrity during breakdowns and installation.
• Fault Finding: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using your expertise to follow logic and find the root cause.
• System Modifications: Collaborate with clients to define and implement system changes, keeping their operations seamless.
• Health Checks: Regularly check on PLC, HMI, SCADA, and network systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Customer Support: Provide both remote and on-site support, assisting customers across the UK.
• On-Call Rota: Be part of the out-of-hours support rota, with flexibility to work around your personal schedule.
• PLC Programming & Fault Finding Experience: You have hands-on experience working with PLC systems and diagnosing complex issues.
• Multibrand Expertise: You're comfortable working across various PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, and quick to pick up new ones.
• Problem-Solving Skills: You're methodical in your approach, listening carefully to client needs and resolving issues efficiently.
