Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Senior QA Engineer in Newcastle upon Tyne to own automation for complex trading platforms, delivering high quality software on an onsite basis. You will work with Software Engineers, Quants and Infrastructure, building robust tests in C#, Java or Python, and frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Cucumber.

A 2:1 STEM degree and a proactive approach to quality are required; the role offers a competitive salary up to £80k DOE and clear opportunities for

Qualifications

Commercial experience with at least one programming language (C#, Java, or Python).
Experience with test automation frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Cucumber.
Strong testing principles and automation best practices.
Ability to own technical projects and improve testing processes.
Excellent problem-solving and pragmatic delivery.
Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Enthusiasm for technology and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated tests for trading platforms.
