Job summary

Searchability is seeking an Automation-focused QA Engineer in Newcastle upon Tyne to own automation initiatives for sophisticated trading platforms and lead testing improvements across the team.

You will work closely with Software Engineers, Quants and Infrastructure, taking ownership of automation projects and driving quality throughout the development lifecycle in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with at least one programming language (C#, Java or Python).
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Cucumber).
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and automation best practices.
• Ability to take ownership of technical projects and improve testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Own automation projects for complex trading platforms and production delivery.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Quants and Infrastructure teams to improve testing coverage.
• Develop and improve testing processes and tooling to raise quality and efficiency.
