Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is looking for a Production Engineer to own automation and process improvement on the shop floor. You will review processes, lead automation projects, and drive standardisation to cut waste while supporting new product introductions.

Ideal candidates have hands-on automation experience in manufacturing and a relevant engineering degree, with familiarity in Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automation in manufacturing.
• Engineering degree with focus on process improvement.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing is desirable but not required.
• Confidence on the shop floor and ability to influence processes.
• Proactive, independent problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design and implement automation solutions across the production line
• Lead automation and process improvement projects from concept through to implementation
• Review existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for standardisation and waste reduction
• Support new product introduction, ensuring processes are optimised ahead of full scale production
• Investigate and resolve production issues, applying root cause analysis techniques
• Work with production, quality and engineering teams to embed a continuous improvement culture
