Job summary

Jagex: The RuneScape Company is seeking an Automation Engineer to build and evolve the shared testing infrastructure and development tooling across the Delivery Engineering team. You’ll enable automation across development, testing and deployment, helping engineering teams work faster and more reliably.

You will collaborate with fellow Automation Engineers to implement automated testing across functional, integration, API, UI and non-functional areas, while embedding an automation-first mindset

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining automation platforms.
• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, Python, Go or TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Build and scale automation capabilities within a centralised Delivery Engineering team.
• Deliver automated development and test harness capabilities across the software lifecycle.
• Embed with engineering teams to build testing frameworks across functional and non-functional areas.
• Improve and upgrade automation execution frameworks and tooling.
• Provide reporting and dashboards to show software quality KPIs.
• Follow architecture principles and participate in cross-team automation discussions.
